A modular system

AUVITRAN’s Audio Toolbox is a series of format converters for modular AxC cards. More then 20 high-end interface cards are available: Dante, AVB/MILAN, Ravenna, AES67, EtherSound, MADI, AES/EBU, ADAT, analog I/O with additional Mic preamps. On top of this: cards for DSP processing, GPIO and a network switch.
The Toolbox units deliver reliable, high-quality 24/7 conversion between each format and integrate any pro audio format in the Dante network.

Expandable

Audio Toolbox comes with two versions: 3 or 7 slots (1U / 2U racks). Both are available as StageBox or Installation version, which provide different front panels.

Build the system as you go: no need to oversize, you may expand your network configuration at any time by adding cards in slots, changing network protocols or even stacking up a ToolBox if needed.

Full network remote control

Every AUVITRAN device supports remote management with the AVS-Monitor software. The free software provides remote monitoring, controlling of all the card parameters, conditional automation, e. g. trigger events (audio or clock errors).

Internal routing and mixing of inputs to any outputs

The AVS control software includes an internal matrix for all installed AUVITRAN cards.

DSP processing and Samplerate Conversion

Audio Toolbox provides DSP processing via the optional DSP card. Up to 3 DSP cards can be used in a in a AVBx7 rack.

Every card adds 64 I/O channels to the rack with two working modes
● ASRC (sample rate conversions), Synchronous clocks between networks technologies
(Slave on one network / master on the other network), Synchronous clocks between networks technologies
● Processing mode:
– 64 mixer of 64 inputs
– 128 x 8-band parametric EQ
– 128 limiter/compressors
– 128 delays (up to 2.7s at 48 kHz)

  • In ASRC mode, the AxC-ADSP card enables to exchange 128 I/O audio channels at 2 different frequencies. It acts as an ASRC interface between
    one of the audio network or the digital interface card and any other Audio/Network cards of an AVBx3 or AVBx7 Audio ToolBox.
  • 3x AxC-ADSP cards can be used in a single AVBx7 box to manage the audio exchanges of 4x 128 I/O audio signals at 4 different audio frequencies in ASRC mode. Each clock domain can be connected to different digital audio worlds via interface cards such as Dante, AES67, CobraNet, EtherSound, Madi, AES / EBU, ADAT …

Using one slot of either ToolBox, AxC-ADSP can acts as a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) card or as an Asynchronous Sample Rate Conversion (ASRC) card.
DSP adds in ToolBox audio processing while converting at same time your Dante, AES67, Madi, EtherSound, CobraNet, AES3 … Analog worlds.
ASRC enables to exchange up to 64×64 audio channels between an AxC-Card working with a different frequency or a different clock domain than the other Audio ToolBox interface cards.
