Fireface 802 FS AE

ARC USB

The latest Fireface 800 successor.

20 Years of uncompromising audio excellence.

The Fireface 802 FS was introduced in 2023 and provides 60 channels of audio, high-end microphone preamps, reference class converters, an effects section with the new Room Correction Equalizer and operation at up to 192 kH. With the FS model, RME introduced their unique SteadyClock FS technology, which guarantees even more precise clocking and less jitter. This leads to a significant sound improvement and higher stability, especially in complex digital audio environments. In addition, the analog circuitry has been further optimized, resulting in even better signal quality and reduced latency.

The Fireface 802 FS also offers an optional Class Compliant mode (30 channel I/O with up to 192 kHz) and operation with TotalMix FX for iPad, RME’s app to fully control the Fireface 802 FS from the iPad without any computer. The alternative CC mode can be activated via a recessed pushbutton switch directly at the back of the interface. For controlling TotalMix FX including the latest Room EQ feature, users will find a USB-A port for direct connection of the optional available ARC USB.

The new RME zero-latency DSP solution for
Speaker Correction, Optimized Headphone Sound,
Immersive Audio & Surround Setups – including Dolby ATMOS

You need to hear it, so you can mix it!

RME flagship interfaces can now use SoundID Reference calibration profiles with the new TotalMix Room EQ. The Room Correction with both left and right EQ profiles is calculated directly on the DSP with Zereo Latency and eliminates the need to run the SoundID software in the background.
Measure your room, export the profile and forget – your speakers or headphones are calibrated with all RME mixer outputs, no matter the source.

Including Plugin & Measurement Microphone
Sonarworks SoundID Reference, an intelligent software that calibrates your speakers and headphones to ensure consistent, accurate monitoring in an endless array of production environments.

SoundID Reference works by applying a calibration profile to your monitoring output, supplying you with a ruler-flat response across all audible frequencies. The software is a breeze to use — most users find that they can complete the calibration process in less than 20 minutes.

SoundID Reference permits you to make custom, on-the-fly curve adjustments, and you can save as many profiles as you’d like, which makes moving between different speakers, headphones, and rooms seamless and effortless. You can also audition your mixes on more than 20 different simulated devices without leaving your workstation.
